Erreà at the 2018 Invictus Games in Sydney

From 20 to 27 October, Sydney hosted the fourth edition of the Invictus Games, the sporting event for war veterans that will see 18 nations and 500 athletes competing in no fewer than 11 sports.

17 athletes from the GSPD (Defence Paralympic Sports Team) will be representing Italy in Australia, and they will be sporting the Erreà Sport trademark sewn across the chest of their competitive outfits and teamwear. The Italian delegation sporting the Erreà logo will be competing in athletics, wheelchair basketball, cycling, weightlifting, rowing, archery, swimming, sitting volleyball, wheelchair rugby and golf.

The Invictus game were created by Prince Harry who, during a visit to the United States in 2013, attended the Warrior Games, and saw for himself the benefit that sport can have on injured and ill servicemen and women. He decided, therefore, to launch a similar initiative in the United Kingdom and created the Invictus Games Foundation. The first edition of these paralympic games were staged in 2014 in London and then in Orlando in 2016, and Toronto in 2017.
