Following their triumph in the European Championships one year ago, in Portugal, after beating the home team 22-13, (the same opponents as last year), the Italian team has won its first ever world title. The team that had already become European champions are now top of the world. The Italian national basketball team made up of players with Down syndrome triumphs at the world championship in Madeira, Portugal.
